NOBODY FAITHFUL GATHER FOR ANNUAL MEETINGThe biking season for 2009 has officially started, as the Nobodies had their annual meeting on February 28. Eh, Pretzel, Smelty, Dirty Deeds and Kickstand were in attendance along with two new recruits. Both new recruits reflect new initiatives implemented by the Nobody Motorcycle Club. The Nobodies are the first motorcycle club in America to embrace the Scooter Accessibility Movement. "We felt it was very important to get a jump on the Hell's Angels and be the first motorcycle club to accepted a member who rides a scooter under 50 cc", explained President Tom "Kickstand" Bergum. " We believe it is socially responsible to take these puny scooter riders under our wing and help them live the Nobody Life Style", elaborated Kickstand.
The second initiative is to help posers to purchase and ride bikes. The numbers are staggering regarding how many people pretend to ride cycles. A study done by the National Association of Motorcycle Federations in 2008 showed that 17% of all adults who claim to ride motorcycles (250 cc or greater) are lying. The study also revealed that 11% of adults who dress in motorcycle clothing; leather jackets (with motorcycle patches), chaps, boots etc. have never been on a motorcycle (250cc or greater).
PINKY TNew Nobody Pinky T rides a 49cc scooter. " I feel honored to be accepted by the Nobodies", exclaimed Pinky. Pinky is a dedicated scooter commuter who will now have the opportunity to do some longer rides with the club. We believe that Pinky will be able to break the 40mph speed barrier on her scooter, when we get her in the Nobody Flying V Riding Formation.
SLICKSlick has been lying about riding motorcycles for several years. His occupation involves demonstrating and promoting lubricants used in motorcycles. Bikers assume that he also rides and Slick has avoided telling them the truth. We are going to help him get on the straight and narrow regarding biking, but we wonder if Slick is a compulsive liar.
